Street harassment is not a compliment.
Actually it is if you perceive "Hey sexy, nice tits!" as a compliment. You don't accept that as a compliment but others might. You are forcing your views of what you accept as a compliment on others. Others may have been brought up to think this is an acceptable comment and were only trying to be nice. Whether you accept it or not is your problem not theirs. I will get hate for this but we cannot change others, only the way we perceive the world and others. Now, because I take this stance on perception does not mean I agree one way or the other.

See, I do not agree with this, this is a generalization of how “people” see lesbians and by people I assume this person is meaning men/males in general. And that is wrong, not all men view lesbians that way, nor do all people. And if all the men or people around you are sexualizing you as a lesbian then stop hanging around those people or ignore it. Those are your choices, you will never and can never make everyone accept you for who you are, no matter what or how you identify.
You are making a statement that is as bad as “All gays are bad” or “All white people hate black people”. This is ignorant, hateful and vile. It causes people who are suggestive to ideas turn against those you are spewing the hate at. If you want the closest thing to true acceptance than you should show love, compassion, caring and understanding; something along the lines of “I feel bad for those who sexualize lesbians, they are missing out on great friendships and people”.
Yes, everyone should stop labeling and categorizing groups of people. But with human nature and psychology the way it is, you will never accomplish this. However you can change many more minds with caring and compassion than with hate and anger.

First, my heart and prayers go out to all the people affected by this. But, These facts are wrong. It was not 500 homes leveled, they estimated 75 homes. Also the nursing home was damaged but not leveled. And most of the residents were saved before the initial blast.
